Stand With Crypto Applauds U.S. House for Passing Bipartisan, Job-Creating Crypto Legislation; Urges U.S. Senate to Swiftly Pass the CLARITY Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Stand With Crypto, America’s leading crypto advocacy organization,  today applauded the U.S. House of Representatives for voting to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, which would enact necessary market structure legislation and establish regulatory clarity for digital assets. The bill — which passed with bipartisan support on a 294-134 vote — will now go to the U.S. Senate for consideration. 

Following the vote, Mason Lynaugh, Stand with Crypto community director, released the below statement:

This vote moves us one step closer to a common-sense regulatory framework for digital assets in the U.S. that 52 million crypto owners nationwide need. Now, we urge Senate leaders to take swift action on this legislation and solidify America’s global leadership in the blockchain economy.”

Today’s vote continues building momentum for pro-crypto policy, coming on the heels of a vote earlier this week in the House this week on the GENIUS Act — a measure that has already passed the Senate and which will create a regulatory framework for stablecoins. The GENIUS Act is now on President Trump’s desk for signature.  

If enacted, the CLARITY Act would ensure there are clear “rules of the road,” providing the regulatory clarity that developers, users, and advocates need to continue innovating. The current lack of a regulatory framework is already limiting innovation and hindering the U.S. crypto industry’s potential: The U.S. share of global blockchain developers has decreased by approximately 14% since 2018, dropping to 26% in 2023. This legislation would take a colossal step forward in solidifying America’s leadership in blockchain technology and the global digital economy. 

Stand With Crypto is harnessing its vast network of more than 2.3 million grassroots advocates to urge lawmakers to support the CLARITY Act, and has driven tens of thousands of advocates in the past several weeks to contact their Members of Congress to urge them to vote in favor of the legislation. Stand With Crypto also scored the House’s final vote on the bill and will incorporate the results of this vote into its politician scorecards to make clear where elected officials stand on crypto policy priorities.
