Stand With Crypto Releases 2026 Candidate Questionnaire to Gauge Politicians’ Crypto Stances ahead of Midterm Elections
Stand With Crypto questionnaire responses will help inform 2026 midterm voters on candidates’ crypto policy stances regarding digital asset ownership, development, and regulation
November 24, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Stand With Crypto, America’s leading crypto advocacy organization, announced it has launched a 2026 midterms candidate survey to help voters understand where candidates stand on key issues affecting cryptocurrency and the growing digital economy.
The survey, which has been sent to incumbents and non-incumbents in both federal and state races, asks candidates to disclose their beliefs around individual rights to digital assets, crypto innovation, de-banking, crypto mining and zoning, consumer protections, accessibility, and more. It also asks candidates to disclose whether they have personally bought, sold, or used cryptocurrency or blockchain-based tools.
“The next Congress will have a significant impact on whether or not the U.S. adopts the pro-crypto policies that will foster continued economic growth, innovation, and access,” said Mason Lynaugh, Stand With Crypto community director. “Crypto is already having a transformational impact on our economy, and we need pro-crypto candidates to ensure that the U.S. maintains its dominant global position. Stand With Crypto will draw from questionnaire responses to ensure that every voter is informed and is empowered to make decisions at the ballot box that will help secure and strengthen the future of blockchain technology.”
Scoring Candidate Responses
Based in part on candidates’ responses, Stand With Crypto will score where each politician stands with a letter grade from “A” (strongly supports crypto) to “F” (strongly against crypto). America’s more than 52 million crypto owners will then be able to reference these scores on Stand With Crypto’s website as they determine how to cast their ballots in next year’s elections.
The results of the questionnaire — which are expected to be made available to voters in early 2026 — will also inform how Stand With Crypto mobilizes its network of more than 2.6 million grassroots advocates in the next year in critical battleground races across the country.
Over the past two years, Stand With Crypto has built a grassroots movement to mobilize and harness the voice of America’s 52 million crypto owners into a powerful and unified voting bloc, championing clear, common-sense regulations for the crypto industry and unlocking crypto’s innovation potential while fostering greater economic opportunity and freedom. With more than 2.6 million crypto advocates registered nationwide, Stand With Crypto has now established state chapters in all 50 states.
