ICYMI: Punchbowl News Spotlights Stand With Crypto's Ground Game Ahead of 2026 Midterms
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Stand With Crypto — America’s leading crypto advocacy organization — drove an unprecedented, record-breaking advocacy campaign in less than two weeks, delivering more than 320,000 letters from over 160,000 advocates nationwide across every Senate office. Through this campaign, Stand With Crypto advocates urged senators to reject a new anti-consumer push from the banking industry that seeks to claw back stablecoin rewards, which are enshrined by the recently-passed GENIUS Act.
The No More Bailouts campaign – which represented Stand With Crypto’s largest-ever grassroots effort – underscored the banking industry’s hypocrisy, as its push to axe stablecoin rewards comes just one year after its own campaign to protect credit card rewards.
In letters sent to every Senate office, grassroots advocates asserted, "[B]ig banks are asking Congress to reverse law by bailing them out, not because they want to protect consumers, but because they want to stifle competition. [...] A ban on rewards would stop consumers from earning value on fully backed digital dollars, even as banks lobbied to protect their credit card rewards as recently as last year.”
“This is what crypto voters care about,” said Mason Lynaugh, Community Director of Stand With Crypto. “They care about crypto innovation that delivers improved services and opportunities to Americans and they won’t accept entrenched monopolists that pick profits over people. Through Stand With Crypto’s ‘No More Bailouts’ campaign, we are taking a stand for America’s digital future by protecting crypto rewards.”
The No More Bailouts campaign marked major organizational milestones for Stand With Crypto, with advocates having now contacted lawmakers more than 1 million times since the group’s founding. Also thanks to the campaign, Stand With Crypto has officially reached 2.5 million crypto advocates across the country.
Over the past two years, Stand With Crypto has built a grassroots movement to mobilize and harness the voice of America’s 52 million crypto owners into a powerful and unified voting bloc, championing clear, common-sense regulations for the crypto industry and unlocking crypto’s innovation potential while fostering greater economic opportunity and freedom. With 2.5 million crypto advocates registered nationwide, Stand With Crypto is on track to establish state chapters in all 50 states by the end of this year.
